If you go with Aliens, just note that it requires starting with TWO characters. Select which Generation One you want to use. I know that not everybody will have those either but it is likely that somebody participating in this Sims legacy challenge will have either the aliens or the vampires.

However, it is going to be difficult if you have large gaps in the collection. You could probably play around a couple things if you are missing a pack or two. The challenges use something from every pack from the Base Game on up to Get Famous. You could easily decide to play just one, play both or even have this be one big massive 20 generation legacy if you wanted and not have much repeat itself. I worked hard to make sure there is very little overlap of career, aspirations or other tasks between the two challenges. The other version focuses on classic cinema. So, I actually developed two different versions of the challenge.
